- COFFEE SPILLS

1. Start by blotting up as much of the excess coffee as possible. Use a white cloth or paper towel and apply pressure. Repeat until there is no more coffee coming out.

2. Mix up the solution. Add one teaspoonful of white vinegar and one teaspoon of gentle detergent (for washing woollens), to 300ml of warm water. (for coffee spills with milk, use a detergent with enzymes in.)

3. Apply solution via spray bottle (mist setting) or pour some solution onto the cloth. Blot the stain, with an extra dry white cloth handy to dry as you go. Keep going until there is no more evidence of the stain coming out.

4. Rinse with a clean, damp cloth. Or mist water over stain and blot to remove solution.

5. Place dry cloth or white towel over area and rest weighty object on top and leave to dry.
